FasTreat Expands Virtual Mental Health Access in Canada, Reports More Than 28,000 Appointments
Canadian telehealth platform provides virtual assessment and ongoing care for eligible children, adolescents and adults seeking support for ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia and OCD.
Ontario, Canada, Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FasTreat today announced the continued expansion of its virtual mental health services for eligible Canadians aged six and older. The update follows the platform's July 2026 launch and comes as FasTreat reports more than 28,000 completed appointments and clinical consultations and more than 9,000 members entering ongoing care.

Through the FasTreat virtual mental health platform, eligible patients complete digital intake questionnaires and meet by video with a Canadian clinician who is appropriately licensed to practise in the patient's province. The clinician reviews symptoms, relevant medical history, and day-to-day functioning before discussing individualized next steps. These may include behavioural strategies, psychological support, medication when clinically appropriate, or referral for further evaluation. A diagnosis or prescription is not guaranteed and depends on the clinician's professional judgement and the patient's individual circumstances.
FasTreat's online ADHD assessment and ongoing care services are available to eligible patients aged six and older, including children, adolescents and adults. For eligible adults, FasTreat also provides assessment and ongoing care for anxiety, depression, insomnia and OCD. When assessing children and adolescents for ADHD, clinicians may consider information from parents, caregivers or schools when appropriate. Service and appointment availability vary by province, clinician capacity, and individual clinical needs. FasTreat plans to add service areas progressively as provincial licensing coverage and clinical capacity expand.
"Telepsychiatry removes critical barriers to mental health care, particularly for those in rural or underserved areas where specialists are scarce," said Lekha Mathew, Nurse Practitioner, MScN, at FasTreat. "It also supports flexible appointments and consistent follow-up for people who may face travel, scheduling, or local-access barriers."
According to company-collected feedback reported in October 2026, 88% of respondents reported improved symptoms during their first month of ongoing care. The feedback is self-reported, has not been independently verified as a clinical outcome, and does not predict individual results.
The FasTreat virtual care process generally includes an online health questionnaire, a video consultation with an appropriately licensed clinician, individualized care recommendations, and follow-up when clinically appropriate. The expanded platform is intended to provide eligible patients with a more connected pathway to assessment and ongoing care for several common mental health concerns.
FasTreat also holds LegitScript Healthcare Merchant Certification, which involves an independent review against LegitScript's standards for healthcare merchants. The certification does not guarantee any diagnosis, treatment result, or individual clinical outcome.
